Description:

This course will walk you through how to use Canvas to support teaching and learning. The modules include step by step tutorials on getting started with Canvas, course building tools, communication tools, collaboration and engagement tools and assessment tools.


Learning Objectives:

  • Access the Canvas site set up for BCM. 
  • Modify your user profile. 
  • Access your list of courses. 
  • Create modules within your course. 
  • Use the course building tools to enhance your course’s modules. 
  • Communicate with your learners through a variety of communication tools, including direct messages, discussions, and assessments. 
  • Use Canvas’s built-in tools for collaboration. 
  • Ensure that your modules are set up to encourage learner engagement. 
  • Create quizzes and exams using the quiz tool. 
  • Use the grading tool to assess student performance on a variety of assignments.
